Monday, Monday......

Time is marching on.....pun intended......and soon it will be time for Kelly's Spring Break. (And Matt's - he has a final this week and then he's off for a few weeks!) Then it will be Tommy's Spring Break. Still no decision on whether or not BlingDaddy, Tom, and I will actually go somewhere warmer for that week........I am going to guess that we will stay here, but who knows?

Last night Tom and Matt played basketball for three hours at the park district's Open Gym night. I think that they had fun......a friend of Tom's also showed up, with his high school brother, and the four of them played - pretty well matched - the older bro was about the same height as Matt, and the little bro was just a tad shorter than Tom. I believe Tom and Matt beat the Bro Duo. :)

BlingDaddy and I had dinner with Chuck and Tammy on Saturday night at El Taco Grande......yummy, as usual. I turned Tammy on to the gigantic Guacamole Burrito, and she loved it. Ate the whole thing. Heavens to Betsy, those two have quite the life! So much travel......wow! They must have a devil of a time with someone taking care of their three doggies, though, when they're away.

Speaking of being away, the neighbors to the south of us were away for nearly a month on Sanibel Island - don't know how they could take their DD out of school for that long, but, oh well. They told BlingDaddy yesterday that their front door was slightly ajar the entire time they were gone - doesn't that sound just like something they would do? They turned on their burglar alarm, but didn't actually close or lock the front door!!!!! Makes us feel good to live in such a "safe" neighborhood, though.....

And speaking of the neighborhood, last night three deer frolicked their way down the 18th fairway around 7:00 PM! I didn't get to see it, since I was at the open gym night, but BlingDaddy was alerted to the sighting by our neighbors to the north! The entire neighborhood was out yesterday afternoon, enjoyng the warm weather. I believe it was in the high fifties!

I went for my four mile walk yesterday.....yippee! Felt really great to get out there and walk, and, for the first time, I had my iPod along to keep me company......I couldn't believe how quickly the time went by listening to music! Unfortunately, about ten minutes before getting back home, my batteries went dead, so I had to tramp home musicless.

Aimee and Kate are now both officially signed up for the Chicago Marathon in October. Won't that be something? I think they should start thinking about what they're going to wear for the event, don't you? LOL But, seriously, it would be cute for them to wear the reverse of one another's colors.......the half marathon is coming up somewhat quickly for Aimee to get ready for in Indy. Last week she ran with the group from Dick Pond's - she really enjoyed it and wants to do it regularly. :)

Our closets are officially finished now - I am still putting things back into mine, but, for the most part, it looks good. I was surprised to see how much color I actually do own - it's really not that much black at all, guys! :) And I have lots of linen, my favorite fabric. BlingDaddy, of course, found some lovely wooden hangars over the weekend, and he re-hung all of his things and some of mine on these beautiful pieces. His closet truly could be featured in a magazine now. Mine, well, maybe not so much.....LOL I guess I have to work on it this week, though, because Kelly is coming home on Friday, and I still have lots of things in her room........rats!

Kelly reports that she and Matt had a fun time at her dance on Saturday, and she was very excited to find that the chef made her something really tasty to eat instead of what was being offered to everyone else - some sort of wild rice dish. Can't wait to see the pictures, Kel! (There ARE pictures, right?)
