So, it's already Monday again! How did that happen? I surely do not know......the weeks are flying by in the proverbial wink of an eye. We had a fun weekend, though. Blingdaddy and I did some car-shopping again - test drove a Tiguan - I have the hardest time remembering that name, keep wanting to say 'baby Touareg'.....in any event, Blingdaddy decided that it was too small. Scratch that one off the list.
We ate breakfast at Colonial before doing the test drive, being as it was in the neighborhood. LOL I forgot to mention this to Aimee, but we sat by the window at Colonial, and I happend to look out and notice Mo's mom's car in the parking lot - she is still driving that Sebring with the 'Vanda' plates and Hope College sticker in the back window - pretty hard to miss! hahaha Blingdaddy wanted to run through the place looking for her, but I insisted on decorum and we might have seen the back of her head. I'm thinking she was there having breakfast with her cousin or whomever it is that lives 'behind' Charlestowne Mall where Mo had her bridal shower. :) Such a good detective I am! hahaha
Brian and Cindy stopped by for an impromptu visit on Saturday afternoon - it was nice to chat with them. Sad to hear that they were not invited to Tom and Ashley's Boston reception, though. Please, please, please promise me, my children, that you will NEVER be so horrible to any of your siblings. PROMISE ME OR I WILL HAUNT YOU FOREVER!!!!!
Let's see, then on Sunday morning, Blingdaddy and I were joined by Brother Thomas at Daddio's - it was such a surprise - and one of the 'regular' waitresses stopped by the table when Tom was at the cash register paying the bill to ask if that was our son, and what a handsome, tall lad he was! Very cute.
Sunday afternoon was Payton's final basketball game of the season - his team won! Yay! They had a pretty good season. Must have been the coaching job. :)
Sunday evening we had another Sunday Dinner - last night it was Pasta Night. Very yummy - three different kinds of sauce, lots of olives, garlic bread courtesy of Kate and Brent; delicious dishes of asparagus and broccoli courtesy of Aimee and Matt (I'm pretty sure it was Aimee in the kitchen whipping it up, sorry Matt); and some Roman beans to add to the mix. Oh, and Trader Joe's 'fake' meatballs.
Next Sunday night, Blingdaddy, Tom, and I will be on the road - or maybe already arrived in Florida. We might be heading to Destin!
