Yesterday was one of those days that would be good to re-wind and then follow a different path! Most notably, last night at Tom's clarinet lesson, I would have chosen to remain ON THE DRIVEWAY at the teacher's house, rather than in the street. As I was innocently sitting in the car, waiting for Tom to come out, I had turned toward the back of the Tahoe to see if Tom was coming yet, and suddenly there was a loud noise. I think I might have screamed a little......
I looked up, and there was the rear end of a Toyota Odyssey trying to french kiss the driver's side door of the Tahoe. Ick! Luckily, since I was in the car, the woman who hit me didn't just try to high-tail it down the block. She stopped, got out of the car, said, "Oh, I'm so sorry I hit you", and then pulled over in front of me. Guess she'd just picked up her child from a friend's house across the street and didn't happen to notice my GIANT SUV sitting in the street!
After calling State Farm and finding out I didn't need a police report, the woman's husband arrived (she'd called him while I was calling State Farm), and gave me his business card with all of the pertinent info.....
This morning I am off for a repair estimate. Blingdaddy is beside himself, and now wants to sell the car. I hope that BC Autobody can do its magic and make our lovely vehicle 'whole' again.....sigh. And I just can't wait to hassle with having a rental vehicle big enough for three carseats! Goodie gumdrops.
Sometimes I truly believe that The Universe is plotting against us....but then again, we really aren't significant enough for The Universe to bother with, are we? :)
