Merry, Merry Christmas!

This message is coming to you from the lovely new red laptop that Blingdaddy gifted me with this lovely Christmas morning! And through the kindness of Matt, it was quickly up and running! :) (Have I mentioned lately what a fab addition to the family Mr. Fields is?)

I was remiss in failing to report on our wonderful Sunday, December 16th, when Blingdaddy, Kelly, Tommy, Grandma Lois, Grandma Marian, Auntie Renee, Aimee, Payton, Matt, and I all attended the Carols by Candelight concert of the Chicago Chamber Choir, featuring our Miss Kathryn, in Deerfield. The sing along parts were quite fun, and Paytie really got into the conducting as well! Of course, because no Goier family function could ever be complete without eating being involved, after the concert we all went to the Big Bowl restaurant for a yummy nosh.

The past few weeks have been quite busy, and I have to say that it will be nice to sit back and relax a bit now that the pre-Christmas frenzy has passed..........Tomorrow it's back to business as usual. Aimee only has a few days left as Elsa's minion, which is a wonderful New Year's gift, although there have certainly been a few great "Elsa moments" here and there throughout the past four years. :) Soon it will be on to Serendipity and a shorter commute for Miss Aimee! :)

Saturday Julie and Scott arrived at Midway from Boston amid much fog, and Sunday morning, Aimee and Matt came home from Las Vegas to sixty mile per hour winds.....yikes! Julie and Scott should be touching down in Providence right about now, and it's back to work as usual for both of them tomorrow as well. The weekend went by all too quickly, but it was quite a special family weekend for all of us, with everyone under one roof again for a little bit.

Yesterday we celebrated Christmas Eve at Grandma Marian's house, and it was nice to see Brian, Cindy, Brady, Lauren, and Tom. Payton and Brady have a good time running around together, and Lauren trailed after them. I forsee Tomboy in her future, but time will tell.....

Today saw Grandma Lois, Uncle Ken, Aunt Corinne, Jenny, her boyfriend Justin, and Michael arrive at the BlingMansion for more noshing...........the poor island in the kitchen was groaning under the weight of all the food we had on display. I think that we could probably feed the entire population of a small nation with the leftovers.

We all need to stop for a minute and give thanks for all of the amazing blessings that have graced our family. There. Don't you feel better now?
