Well, by now everyone knows that I, Blingmama, made a trip the the ER in the early morning hours on Thursday.........you know that I must have been in quite a bit of distress to actually set foot inside a hospital for the express purpose of giving over my body for TESTING! Horrors! But I did it, and now I am kind of sorry, of course, because all the pain has gone away, and all I have to show for it is a bill that will run in the thousands of dollars.....hmm, I would much rather have bought Aimee her dream wedding dress, or Julie some lovely flowers for her day, or Kate lots of new stuff for her classroom, etc., etc., etc. ANYTHING but giving money to the Medical Machine. Oh, well. Live and learn. I fear the stone might be lurking somewhere, though, because if it got the hell out of Dodge, I didn't see it. You may just be hearing some screams of pain one of these days.......
The sad thing is that it appears that these stones have a VERY strong hereditary component, and that means that at least several of you offspring will be encountering them in your future. At least you will probably know what's happening then! We'll just have some strong pain relievers on hand.......
Blingdaddy and I did some test driving of Touaregs today. Sorry to say, the six cylinder just doesn't cut it. And the eight cylinder is just too expensive. And the Jeep is on its last legs....oh, dear. Another dilemna. What to do, what to do?
Tommy spent the day with Grandmama, organizing her garage and playing Monopoly. I am sure that he found it more entertaining than being with the boring Blingparents all day long. :)
Aimee had an interesting story to tell yesterday about dear Paytie letting himself outside to play in the snow before she was awake.......It seems that he left the house through the back door, but since the door is very stubborn, could not get back in that way. He then went to the front door, where he was knocking very quietly, altlhough when Aimee let him in he was crying. One would have thought that he would have been kicking the door down, but no, just ever-so-quietly knocking. The doorbell has not worked for quite a while, and Payton had neglected to zip up his jacket, etc. He was QUITE cold. I doubt that he will be repeating that little adventure any time soon. Miss A, he is just preparing you for the TEEN YEARS!
And on that note, I shall sign off for the night. Love to you all!
