Belated Happy 2011/2nd Anniversary to Aimee and Matt!

Okay, so I am totally blowing it here as a blogger....no entries for nearly a month, and totally forgetting to wish Aimee and Matt happy anniversary ON their actual anniversary!!!!!! Please forgive these transgressions.......

The Christmas holidays flew by (in a very fun way, of course!) and here we are in the brand-spanking new year of 2011. I have to tell you, when I was young, I never even comprehended being alive in the 2000's....they seemed so far off in the future......the future arrives sooner than you could ever imagine, that's for sure.

It's been snowing here for several hours - thank heavens it's not a full-blown blizzard and just a gently falling snow, or we would be shoveling out from under quite a few inches worth of snow. I did shovel this morning before Kiersten arrived, but one would never know the extent of my activities looking outside right now! Oh, goodie, I get to have more exercise later when Kiersten is sleeping! :)

I am looking forward to my trip to Boston in a few weeks, and must say that I am glad that Hunter and Julie had their 'flu episode' well before Aimee, Josie and I arrive! (Of course, I would have rather they not have to experience this at all, but since they did, they were kind enough to experience it far enough ahead of our visit so that everyone will be happy and healthy when we arrive!) Thank you, Miss Jules, for offering to get the shower gift. Such a relief to not have to think about that.....oh, was I giving it that much thought before????

Tom starts a few of his finals today (Music Theory and Spanish), although 'formally' finals do not begin until tomorrow. You should all be really proud of him - he is so serious about his grades, even to the point of thinking about how what he does in school now affects his chances of gaining admission to various colleges and universities. He may be the little brother, but he really is kind of grown-up in many ways. :)

Blingdaddy has been suffering more than the usual chemo pangs this time - perhaps because of the addition of Avastin back to the regimen. He did have to stay home from work yesterday because he just did not feel up to the trek into the city. Hopefully today will not be too awful. He reports that cab fares have gone up fifty cents due to the gas prices being raised again.

Well, Miss Kiersten and I need to make a run to Woodman's. Tom is out of Fruit Snacks for his lunch. Horrors!
