October is Here!

Well, it's actually been here for a bit, but I've been lax in the blogging department. :)

Of course, everyone was present last weekend for the Marathon Event. Scott did such a fab job running the 26.2 in 3:19!!!! Although I will confess to being a mite skeered when I saw him immediately afterward.....but thankfully, he recovered nicely.

And WOW, Hugo's Frog Bar was an amazing coice for the dinner celebration, Julie! That food was delish, and I think that we might be making a trip back there in the not-so-distant-future.

It was wonderful to have the family together. Is it too cheesy to say that I live for those occasions?

I have not had a chance to download all the pictures I snapped that weekend, but will try to do so soon. For some reason, Blingdaddy seems to have taken his camera with him to work - who knows why? And the pics that Aimee snapped of Kate and Brent in the Japanese Garden are stunning!!!!

Tonight is a busy one - Tom has his first band concert and Kelly has her first orchestra concert. Blingdaddy will be taking Tom to his concert, and I will be accompanying Miss Kel to hers out in Sycamore. Hopefully it will stop raining so that we don't have to see the windshield wipers flip-flapping the entire trip.

And tomorrow night is a 35+ year dinner for the Company Which Cannot Be Named, and I will be driving into the city with Gail Davis - can you believe she contacted me and suggested we go together? She wants to leave kind of early, and we plan on stopping in at the Art Institute for a bit, since we should probably have two hours or so to kill before the dinner starts.

I will be wearing a lovely new piece that Blingdaddy insisted I purchase from Chico's. Bless his heart. I love it!

And then, of course, there is Miss Aimee's 30th birthday on Sunday. She and Matt will also be going into the city tomorrow night, I guess, and Paytie will be staying at the Blingmansion with Tom. Isn't that amazing? The little brother is big enough to babysit! hahaha

Sunday Aimee would like to go apple picking, and then I have a jewelry party at Tammy Kelleher's. A busy day again.

Very hard to believe that my oldest child is turning 30!!!! I barely feel 21 myself. :)
