In Memoriam

I am so sorry to report that Matt's paternal grandmother, Carolyn Ilene Fields, passed away in the early hours of February 15th. Aimee and Matt will be driving to Indy tonight (or possibly tomorrow morning) for the funeral tomorrow. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's for quite a while. I am wishing Aimee and Matt safe travels. Payton will be staying with us so that he doesn't miss any school. As it stands now, Aimee will drive back on Wednesday after the funeral, to work on Thursday and Friday, returning to Indy for the weekend baby shower for Matt's brother's coming Bundle of Joy. Matt will stay with his family until Sunday.

On a happier note, yesterday was no school for Tom, and he and I made the trip to LifeTime in Warrenville so that I could walk my four miles and he could play his beloved basketball. Kate had a doctor's appointment (her running injuries seem to be on the mend) and met up with us afterward. We sat for quite a while in the restaurant area, where Kate devoured a Black Bean Burger that looked quite tasty (and LARGE!). I got to see Kate's beautiful engagement ring! Good job, Brent! :) Since it was cold, the ring was still spinning a bit on Kate's teeny tiny little finger, but it still looked amazingly sparkly and pretty.

However, lack of food for so many hours, and then consuming some Baked Lays did not bode well for Tom's stomach, and he was feeling quite sick on the ride home.....he later tossed. Hopefully, all is well today.

The Closet Project in our master bedroom closets is humming along. All of the clothes have found new homes in other closets (!), and some spackling has been completed. Already looks much better, but we are looking forward to the hanging "systems" being installed so that both closets will look beautiful and organized.......
