April Already!!!!!!

Well, VERY hard to believe that it is already April, but the calendar says it is, so I guess it IS!

We all had a VERY fun night last night at the Bulls game, even though they lost.........sigh And we were sitting up so high I thought for a moment we were on a trip to Europe or something....Grandma M. Auntie Renee, Blingdaddy, Tommy, and I all made the drive in the Midnight Caddy. Of course we were VERY early for the game, but we managed to scarf down some food before the game to quiet the Rumbling Tummies.

Aimee, Kate, Matt, and Paytie arrived separately - and late :) - and sat in the row behind ours - quite a good arrangement. Had we all been lined up in one row we definitely could not have chatted the way we did. Tom had a great time beating together the two "bang sticks" thoughtfully provided by the United Center and Motorola.....my ears are still recovering.......

Amazing to see how many families attended the game, considering the price of the tickets, which we had gotten at a discount through an S & L program! Aimee pointed out the seats where she and Matt have enjoyed a game or two courtesy of Cousin Chuck - Holy Moly - they are AWESOME. Tom has offered to go to a game with Aimee if she'd like...... :)

Coming home, though, the traffic was horrendous just before we exited the expressway at the Arboretum - took about 45 minutes to go three miles - I guess the incredibly intelligent people that run the Illinois highway department decided that it was the perfect time to do some "lane changes" at 10:00 PM on a Saturday night. We arrived home just before midnight. Slept in a bit today! LOL

Last Sunday afternoon Grandma M., Blingdaddy and I enjoyed a lovely Chicago Chamber Choir concert - Brent joined us before returning to Auggie. There were three guess instrumentalist performers: a flautist, a violinist, and a cellist. The flautist played several different flutes: the "regular" kind, and an alto flute - LOVED the alto flute. Who knew there was such a thing? Tommy elected to stay with Aimee, Paytie, and Matt for the afternoon. Thank you so much, Miss Aims, for putting up with the antics of Little Bro so that I did not have to listen to a litany of complaints! :)

And Friday, Tommy enjoyed the Cubs game at Wrigley Field with the entire 7th grade class at GMS North. The day started off a bit cloudy and cool, but the sun finally came out around mid day, and Tom reported that the game was quite fun, even though the Cubbies lost by one.

Speaking of Master Tom, he has again clawed his way onto the High Honor Roll, achieving all A's for the most recently finished quarter! :) Watch out there, boy, or we are going to start expecting this from you ALL the time! LOL Hey, girls, I guess your little bro isn't quite such an airhead as you thought......just kidding, of course. I am quite sure that the girls have never thought of their brother as an airhead. Pest, maybe, but NEVER airhead. LOL

Kelly received her official letter from Sargent & Lundy yesterday regarding her summer employment. She will be receiving the Princely sum of $12.50 an hour, for forty hours a week, which Blingdaddy has calculated to be $500.00 a week - should be a very prosperous summer for Our Miss Kel. :) Her coffers will be plenty replenished by the end of August! Of course, to earn that Princely sum, she will have to arise from her bower at the buttcrack of Dawn and hie herself to the train by 6:30 AM Monday through Friday. But I told her that working in the City will be VERY fun, and there will be lots and lots of cute guys for her to drool over, AND she can sit at lunchtime in Centennial Park. What's not to love about THAT?

Well, as you can all see, we are embarking on a rather crazy-busy month. Hope everyone is up to the merry-go-round ride, because if you tend to get dizzy, you need to medicate yourself right NOW! hahaha

Well, actually I knew that an alto flute existed AND in case anyone was wondering...the note that it sounds is a perfect fourth lower than the note that is written on the piece of music they are looking at when they are playing. The things you learn as a music major...
